As you might imagine in a heist movie called "The Croupier," there's a lot of artistic licence and liberty. Both in how the inner workings of the casino are shown, as well as the way the charactors interact. Nevertheless, Clive Owen is perfectly cast as the protagonist, a writer who's looking to cure his writer's block by taking a job in a glamorous casino.
